Tax Filing Deadline (Expats)

Expatriates living abroad are given an automatic extension for filing their US Tax Returns. The extension is for two months and no papers have to be filed.
The new deadline for filing your return will be June 16, 2025.
An additional extension can be requested, giving the expat until October 15, 2025. A second extension is also available until December 15, 2025. Paperwork must be filed in both cases.
All amounts owed on the tax return are still due April 15; if not paid on time, interest and penalties will begin to incur.
