Tax Filing Deadline – 2nd Extension (Expats)

Expatriates living abroad are granted a a second extension upon request, giving them until December 15 to file their tax return

Tax Filing Deadline

Tax returns, including individual income taxes, are due on April 15, 2025. Extensions can be requested, but interest and penalties apply from April 15. Taxpayers are advised to pay expected amounts owed on time.

Payroll Records are Due

Businesses are required to submit payroll records such as W-2, W-3, and 1099 forms. Copies of W-2 and W-3 should be sent to the Social Security Administration, while employees must receive copies of the W-2. Employers are mandated to e-file returns when submitting 10 or more informational returns. Additional details can be found in Topic no. 752.
